Biotest Clinical Laboratory was founded by Mrs Lelarati Lukman on 26 November 1980 on Jalan Naripan, Bandung. It now operates 10 branches across Bandung, Jakarta and Surabaya and had served more than 2 million patients by 2020.

Serving wholeheartedly since 1980
Biotest was founded in Bandung on 26 November 1980 by Mrs Lelarati Lukman. She was inspired by the experience of her husband, Mr Karmaka Surjaudaja, who needed regular laboratory tests at a time when laboratory services were still very limited.
So that patients would not have to fast for too long and could visit before or after work, Mrs Lelarati set opening hours from 6 AM to 9 PM — a first in Indonesia at the time. From the start, Biotest committed to sincere, fast and accurate service.
As demand grew, Biotest opened in Surabaya in 1989 and in Jakarta in 2002. Today Biotest operates 10 branches across Bandung, Jakarta and Surabaya, with its range of tests continuing to grow alongside medical science and international laboratory standards.
Mrs Lelarati always reminds the Biotest family to be empathetic and to put themselves in the patient's shoes. She remains active as President Director to this day.

Founded in Bandung
26 November 1980 — Biotest opened at Jl. Naripan No. 41, Bandung, with opening hours from early morning to evening.
Arrival in Surabaya
24 November 1989 — the first Surabaya branch opened at Jl. R.A. Kartini No. 78.
Menteng & Buah Batu
17 August 2002 — first Jakarta branch in Menteng. 1 September 2002 — Buah Batu branch, Bandung.
Pluit & Kopo
21 September 2006 — Pluit branch, North Jakarta. 17 October 2006 — Kopo branch, Bandung.
Wijaya & 500+ partners
8 August 2008 — Wijaya branch, South Jakarta. Biotest had partnered with more than 500 companies for employee check-ups.
Logo refresh
Biotest refreshed its logo for its 30th anniversary.
Kertajaya
12 July 2014 — Kertajaya Indah branch, Surabaya.
